The Greenville Zoo's educational programs are one of the highlights of the year!  This year we are doing three.

🦒 Who's Who in the Zoo: K4 - Middle School 🦒

"How much does a giraffe eat? How does the lion get a shot? Where does the zoo get the animals that live here? Zookeeping techniques and general care of the Greenville Zoo animals are emphasized."  We have two classrooms for this program during both time slots (10:15 & 10:50), classroom A  & B, will assign classrooms as we get closer.

🦁 We Built a Zoo: K4 - Middle School 🦁

"This program is designed to teach students what goes into designing an exhibit for a zoo animal. It gives an inside look at the process at the Greenville Zoo and provides students with an opportunity to understand the many aspects that are involved in animal care and exhibit design."  10:15AM - Classroom C.

🦍 Careers with Animals: Middle School - High School 🦍

"This program presents young teens with educational opportunities and ideas on how to start planning for an exciting job they may not have considered."  10:05AM - Classroom C.

Programs are taught by knowledgeable Greenville Zoo staff, who often bring out animals to meet (animal meeting is not guaranteed, and depends upon factors like how the animals are doing that day).

❗️Please choose only one class type per child.  Each classroom can hold 20 children & 2 adult chaperones.  I realize this isn't the preference for many homeschoolers, but it's how the zoo is setup this year.  We will ask for chaperone volunteers, the rest of us can wait just outside the door, or have fun in the zoo.  Please pay attention to the times of the programs if you have kids in different programs, and you want to coordinate the times.  Grade ranges are the ones the zoo uses for these programs, as always, it's up to you as the parent to determine what class best suits your child.❗️

CANCELLATION POLICY

Tickets for the programs are non-refundable, you are however, able to give them to someone else.  This is because we have a set price for the classes that we have to pay, regardless of how many kids come.

Group Admission isn't necessarily refundable.  If we're over minimum for this price (which is a higher minimum, for a lower cost admission), and we haven't already submitted payment (due three weeks prior), a refund may be possible.

If it ends up that most of the group won't need admission, and we are unable to meet minimum, we will refund your admission, so you can purchase your own from the zoo directly.

The Zoo will give us back a portion of our total, in the case of inclement weather, and/or work on rescheduling.

Still, always try my best to assist with changes from emergencies, or help find people looking for tickets.
