Hagood Mill Field Trip

We will split up into 4 age-based groups and take part in a 2-hour tour/demonstrations/activities made up of the following:

• General Tour of the Hagood Mill Historic Site
• Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site & Archaeology Adventure*
• Our Native Roots: An Interpretive Trail*
• Native American Way of Life in the 1800s

Each group will rotate through these 4 stations, spending about 25 minutes at each one. This will take place from 10:30am - 12:30pm. Afterward, if you would like, you can stay and have a picnic lunch at their picnic tables, or you can bring a blanket (NOTE: Food is not available onsite, so you will need to bring your own lunch if you plan to stay). The kids can also play games such as disc golf, corn hole, or other Appalachian games. 

COST:

$10 per student (K5-8th grade only)

Younger siblings and adults are free

REGISTRATION NOTES:

When you register your school-age child (K5-8th), please make sure to tell me their name and grade level. If you are bringing more than one child in these grade levels, please select how many and give me their names and grade levels as well on the designated places on the form so I can get a proper headcount. You do not need to register younger siblings who will be tagging along.

I will personally split up the students into the 4 different groups, but I need to know their grade level to try to split them up as evenly based on age as possible. I will tell you which group you are in when you arrive on field trip day :)

Lastly, you will need to print and fill out the following Photo Permission and Liability Waiver provided by Hagood Mill on the day of the field trip (only one per family needed).
