About the event

All students planning to go on the Disney World trip will be required to participate in group fundraising to some degree.  Please select from the below choices during registration to make sure we categorize funds correctly.  Only student tickets are eligible for a portion of group fundraising (and any events we add), but opportunities will be shared for families to raise money individually to go toward other costs.  You can register for fundraising before formally registering for the trip, but if you do not end up registering for the trip, any funds raised through the group will go to the trip fund.

Fundraising opportunities will be coming soon, and any fundraiser that your family works your student will have an equal share of that event's funds raised put toward their ticket cost (unless otherwise noted by the requirements of a specific event).  Students will ONLY be alloted funds for events that they, or a family member in their stead, volunteered for.  We will keep track of those funds raised, until the student reaches their ticket cost.  After your child has met their goal, they have the option to continue to help their friends by volunteering at events where the funds raised are split between students in attendance who haven't reached theirs.

Funds raised through general methods that don't require student volunteers (for example: website ads) will be split between the students who are actively participating in fundraising for the group.

You can switch categories up till when we purchase tickets.

Category A (4th grade & up)

Disney Imagination Campus Workshop, & a 3 day park ticket.

Category B (4th grade & up)

Disney Imagination Campus Workshop, & a 6 day park hopper ticket.

Category C (K-3rd grade)

3 day park ticket.

Category D (K-3rd grade)

 6 day park hopper ticket

Category E (K-3rd grade)

3 day park ticket, AND planning to do an educational tour.

Category F (K-3rd grade)

6 day park hopper ticket, AND planning to do an educational tour.

Category G

Going on the trip, but will not be using any group funds raised.  Student is still required to participate in at least one group fundraising event to be part of the group spirit, and to support each other, but funds raised by this student will be distributed to other student ticket funds.

Some additional trip details:

Ticketed part of the trip planned to begin: Sept. 7, 2025.

Each family will have the option of either 3 day park tickets, or 6 day park hoppers (we can only choose two options, and those two seemed to make the most sense).  Ideally workshop will be scheduled for the first day, but we won't have that date until we purchase tickets.

Fundraising

The goal is for the students tickets to be covered by fundraising, and to help families fundraise for other portions.  Group fundraising will go toward the student tickets of everyone participating in a specific fundraising event.  Individual fundraising will be collected by families for their specific trip needs.

Discounted Educational Tickets

Are for the ENTIRE party traveling with the student: parents, siblings, etc.  Children 2 & under are free.  Workshop is NOT an extra cost.

Park hopper tickets mean that you can go between parks after 2pm, instead of having to stay in one park for the day.  This is different than non-discounted park hoppers, which allow you to hop at anytime.

We are not positive that we can claim tax exemption, since we’re out of state, but we’re looking into it.

If we pay for tickets by Dec. 2024, we can use 2024 rates.  Payment after that goes up to the 2025 rates, but it’s not a huge difference.

Group families can choose either a 3 day (1 park of your choice per day) ticket, or a 6 day park hopper ticket.

3 day single park (1 park of your choice per day)

Regular price: 403.87 adult (ages 10+), 389.17 (ages 3-9)

Our discounted educational price, w/o tax: $286 (ages 3 & up)

6 Day Park Hopper Tickets

Regular price: 675.58 adult (ages 10+), 654.37 (ages 3-9)

Our discounted educational price, w/o tax: $486 (ages 3 & up)

Disney Imagination Campus Workshop

Workshop is available to students, in the educational group trip, 4th grade & up (by Sept. 2025), at no extra cost.  We will have to pick chaperones for the field trip portion, as they can not accommodate all of the adults during the class (this may be the one time some people fight over NOT chaperoning, so that they have a small window vacation alone time, or just with the little siblings, lol).  "Physics of Disney Parks" and "Technology of Disney Parks" are two of the likely options.

Students K-3rd

All grade levels can use the educational discounted park tickets, but Disney does not have a workshop for the younger ones.  Instead we are going to set up an optional educational activity of our own, AND some of us may do an educational tour.  Tours options: Behind the Seeds Tour in Epcot (go into the greenhouses, yes, the one that one of the rides goes through, to learn about explorations in agricultural technology - $39), Caring for Giants at Animal Kingdom (go behind the scenes in the elephant area  to learn about their care. - $39), or Up Close with Rhinos at Animal Kingdom (go behind the scenes to learn about care, & get safely close to the rhinos - I’ve heard that you get to touch one!).  Students doing one of these add-on tours can have it included in the group fundraising goal.

Accommodations

The needs & desires of the group will be too varied to do a block room reservation, and the discount is generally smaller than the public discounts Disney regularly puts out.  For those who want to stay on property together, we could discuss selecting a couple of resort options, that can be booked through our travel agent.  And, for those wanting to be super close to other group families, you may consider booking an airbnb to split with any interested families, which can be cost effective as well.

Travel

Our travel agent is looking into bus transport, for those who would rather travel by bus together, than drive their personal cars or fly.

Fundraising

Victoria & Clarissa have already been working on plans, and I believe Jessica is starting to as well.  We will start fundraising immediately after the group is able to take a look at all of this info, and it looks like we’ll have enough families who want to join the trip.

Optional Other Special Experiences

We may book other special experiences, or plan our own educational add-ons, as well as possible optional meet-ups during the vacation portion of the trip for those who want to experience things together.

Deposit & other terms

• A deposit of $125 per family will be a part of registration when it goes up, which is not an unusual amount for a family vacation deposit.

• You can start fundraising before registration, but the deposit will be required before we purchase tickets.

• The deposit is non-refundable.  In the case of cancellation, deposit, and any funds raised through group fundraising, will be redistributed to the group trip fund.  If we’ve already purchased tickets for you, another family may use them (if they aren’t in the HCU group, we will need to approve them as an addition) since the tickets are non-refundable.

• If the funds raised aren’t enough to cover student tickets, families will be responsible to pay the difference for their children before we purchase tickets (so it’s really a great idea to participate in fundraising planning, lol).  If you cancel before we buy tickets, you will NOT be responsible to pay any difference in the ticket cost.

• You CAN initially choose one type of ticket, and then switch to the other ticket, as long as you do so before we purchase tickets.  If you had the 3 day ticket, you’ll need to pay, or fundraise, for the difference.  If you had the 6 day ticket, we can refund you any difference you’ve paid, but any amount fundraised through the group will be redistributed to the group trip fund.
