Chimney Rock State Park Field Trip

Join us for a day of adventure at Chimney Rock State Park. We will arrive for check in at 9:45 am. Then, kids will cycle through 2 programs (about 30 min each) before we break for lunch.  The programs are:

Basically Bats

Are bats blind? Do they all drink blood? Join a naturalist and do some myth busting about bats. Learn about the misunderstood mammals in a fun interactive program. Learn about the misunderstood mammals in a fun and interactive program. Students will explore the secret life of bats and become bats while playing a game of "Bat/Moth."

Geology ROCKS

Is there a better place to learn about rocks than Chimney Rock? We think not. Students will begin the program by participating in a hands-on "rock lab," followed by a geology hike up the Outcroppings trail. We promise you will have a rockin' good time.
