Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Tickets are non-refundable, but you may transfer them to another homeschooling family, if you
are unable to come.

Homeschool Community of the Upstate Attendance Policy
To maintain fairness and clarity for all members, and the homeschool relationship with the venues we visit, the following attendance policy applies to all community events, including theater outings, field trips, and special gatherings.
• Theater Events Members: After one no-show (except in cases of illness or
emergency), the member may not RSVP for, or attend, any theater events for 3
months.
• Field Trips & Other Events: After two no-shows (excluding illness or
emergency), the member may not RSVP for, or attend, any events for 4 months.
• General Notes: "No-shows" refer to failing to attend an event after RSVP'ing, without
canceling in advance, communicating a valid reason, or giving your tickets to another
family. Emergencies and major illnesses will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• Excessive Cancellations: Even with advance notice, excessively cancelling spots in
events, may result in similar consequences, if the spots you’ve vacated are routinely
unfilled. To prevent this, please do not overfill your calendar with events, and register
for only the ones you can absolutely commit to attend (barring emergency).
This policy is in place to ensure fairness, planning accuracy, and respect for limited spaces at
events. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community respectful and organized!

Personal Responsibility Policy
You are responsible for the health, safety, & actions of yourself, & anyone you have with you,
including minor children. Please remember to be kind & respectful to the venue, as well as any
venue staff, and the event coordinator.

Behavior Policy for the Homeschool Community of the Upstate
To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all, we ask that all families
adhere to the following guidelines.
• Parental Supervision: Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all
times during events and activities.
• Respectful Behavior: Children are expected to behave respectfully toward others,
follow event & venue rules, and use appropriate language and conduct.
• Parental Conduct and Community Focus: As role models and representatives of our
homeschool community, parents are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior,
cooperate with event guidelines, and foster a spirit of support and encouragement.
Please remember that the purpose of our events and activities is to create enriching
opportunities for our children. Let’s keep our focus on what’s best for them.
• Maintaining Member Privacy: As a participating parent in the Homeschool
Community of the Upstate, you may on occasion have access to personal information
of other members. To ensure the privacy and safety of all members involved you agree
to total confidentiality of this information. Violation of this agreement may result in
revoked access and/or removal from the community.
• Responding to Concerns: If a venue staff member, event coordinator, or HCU
Facilitator, asks you to address a behavior issue, it is expected that you will do so
promptly and respectfully. Failure to address such concerns may impact your
membership in the group.
