The Sound and Music of Bamboo
In this class, we will explore the sounds we can make with bamboo. We will use bamboo as percussion and wind instruments and create our own “Bamboo band!” We will listen to the sounds of a live shakuhachi flute and identify the sound of bamboo in popular music. We will record our own bamboo song and listen to it over the loud speaker to celebrate our music together.
Note: All parents must remain on site during the class. No Drop-offs! Parents are responsible for the safety and behavior of their children at all times.
Additional Details: Shelter #1 has a wood-burning fireplace. Please do not allow your children to throw leaves or other un-natural materials into the fire. We will use this fire for the presentation. This shelter also has easy access to parking, restrooms…
