About the event
We are extremely fortunate to be on the schedule for the very popular "Traveling Naturalist!"
Guests will enjoy a professional Fire Triangle & Safety Lesson and Guided Cooking Activity.
Each student will safely learn the principles of small fire management and understand the 3 primary aspects of fire!
This fun and interactive outdoor class is designed to give students a safe and comprehensive understanding of fire safety and practical uses of fire with a safe, portable rocket stove. A respectful gathering activity and discussion of forest and habitat conservation is coupled with a hands on cooking activity. With the safe construction of a small controlled fire, students build and grow with their own hands.
Class vocabulary includes: Fire-Triangle, combustion, conduction, convection, smoke, safety, and danger. Also included is a gentle introduction to concepts of earth stewardship, conservation, and preservation.
