Casey and the Mudville Nine are ready to knock this ballet out of the park! Based on the poem, Casey at the Bat and Casey- Twenty Years Later, created by Lisa De Ribere for PBT, this is the first baseball ballet for Spartanburg. With an audience who warms up the players by singing favorites such as, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”, and “Sweet Caroline”, the audience will cheer on the team, laugh at the ball players setting up to bat, and follow a stadium filled stage of baseball lovers. Spartanburg, Let’s Play Ball! This ballet is dedicated to the opening of the new MiLB Field and the community who will gather for future generations. Directed by Lona Gomez.
Tickets are $10 each. Ballet Spartanburg requests only students 5 and over attend. Everyone MUST have a ticket.
