About the event

We meet once a month to finalize the online newspaper issue for the next month, which includes dropping in written stories, and media, and any final touches to editing, as well as to discuss plans for the next issue, and some journalistic tools and ethics. In our first meeting we will discuss a name for the newspaper.


Students will work on their written, photo, or video report, on the topic they have chosen, independently, and upload their work prior to the monthly meeting.


Open to ages 8 and up, but if you feel your younger child would have a specific interest, please email. Any older or teenage students may expand their roles, and work on additional collaboration between older grades.   • Editor (older student)

    Works with student journalists to maintain journalistic ethics, does final proofreads, and formats the online paper (we will show you how to do this). This role is suitable for an older child, if one is not present this year, an adult may take this role.
