About the event

Fuels and generation of electricity

Elementary students in grades 3-6 will enjoy our basic electricity presentation, which explains the different fuel sources used to make electricity, the importance of electricity in today’s world and how electricity is generated, specifically at Oconee Nuclear Station. The presentation highlights Oconee Nuclear Station, which is adjacent to the World of Energy.


After the presentation we will be invited on a self guided tour with a scavenger hunt through the exhibits.


*This Field trip is for grades 3-6th (can be older than 6th grade but please no one under 3rd grade)


After the field trip we will have cookies, juice and fruit please bring a main course for your child. We will have the picnic shelter reserved.


There are no strollers allowed.
