H-CUE Middle Grades Book Club Pre-Registration

Looking forward to our Fall session of H-CUE @ Timken Community Center! Hope you will be able to join us! Registration day will be Friday, August 18 @ 11 am. You must attend registration day unless otherwise arranged with club leaders. Your spot will be forfeited and passed to next on the waitlist if you do not attend or make other arrangements. This session will begin on September 7 and end on November 16. We will have a presentation day for our performance, arts & crafts clubs on November 17 beginning at 10 am followed by a Friendsgiving. Parents are responsible for children at all times. Even when students are in clubs, a responsible adult MUST be on premises at ALL times. No food or drinks are allowed in the building except water bottles. Below you will find a description of club, fees, and other pertinent information.

Adventures with an Author-Roald Dahl

(Middle Grades Book Club 3rd-6th grade)

Let’s explore the world of Roald Dahl! During the fall session we will read one book each month, each one taking us on another adventure. We will travel with James and the Giant Peach, overcome with Matilda and Miss Honey, and finally make some delicious discoveries with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Throughout the session, we will learn about characterization and about the writing style of Roald Dahl. Reading will take place outside of clubs. During clubs, we will discuss what we have read and enjoy some fun related activities together.
