About the event

Join us for the Greenville Fire Department Fire and Safety house tour! The Fire and Life Safety House is a mobile unit that allows our firefighters to teach children safe practices in and around the home, including how to escape a fire.

The program, which takes 20–30 minutes per group, begins with a presentation that includes videos, pictures and other visual aids to demonstrate the dangers of fire.

Afterward, the children can apply what they have learned when the Fire and Life Safety house is filled with artificial smoke and everyone must escape in a safe but swift manner.

This tour is for older children only, ages 7 and up. Please only register you children for this if the 7 years of age or older. Younger children are welcome to come, however must be supervised by the attending adult and will not be permitted into the Safety house. Please only register if you are positive you can attend as space is limited. If you do need to cancel please let us know ASAP, so that we can help fill your spot. We do understand emergencies do happen though.

Cost is free.

Start time is 10:00 AM but please arrive a little early for check in. Also they asked that we do not block the bay doors for the firetrucks when parking.
