About the event

This is a free event so please make sure you RSVP and let me know if you are unable to make it. We want to respect their staff for taking the time to prepare supplies, host us, and provide free activities for our kids.

This field trip is capped at 60 people (including adults and children). This is more for elementary age but they will divide us up into three groups so older kids can be placed in a group together.

  • Arrive at 10am
  • Guide will meet us in the parking lot. The dam and bridge are currently closed so there is a 0.7 mile hike up to the house so no strollers. They do have a small car that can take any bags and lunches to their amphitheater where we will eat lunch afterwards.
  • Intro activity lead by the guide and then a short snakc break. Then we will be divided up into 3 groups for three different activities. One group will go to their monarch area, second group to the barn for goats, and third group to learn about farm life. The groups will rotate through each of the three activities so everyone will be able to see the goats.
  • Activities end at 1pm. We will walk down the hill to the amphitheater for lunch.
  • After the activities, you are free to stay for lunch and walk around the trails. There is also a fun park down to road, The Flat Rock park, if your kid still needs to run out some energy before you get back on the road.

Because lunch is at 1pm, let's try to get our children to eat a good breakfast and bring a snack for the snack break.

Please arrive on time!
